Your home in college should be an escape. An escape from the real world and all of its pressures. Every day should feel like summer camp did as a kid; carefree, adventurous, jammed full of fun, and a little bit magical.
The Cottages at Lake Tamaha is the only craftsman-style cottage living community in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Catering to students from the University of Alabama, The Cottages has over six football fields of greenspace and overlooks scenic Lake Tamaha. A great reputation for its amenities and events, The Cottages has been a popular spot amongst students seeking their next place to call home.
In order to capture the Cottages’ summer camp lifestyle, we showcased the amenities that make this property so exceptional. Using a drone and a steady camera, this spot captures an outdoor movie theater, fire pits, games, fishing, basketball, cookouts, paddle boards, and so much more.
We wrote, produced, and distributed one (1) 2-minute, one (1) 1-minute, six (6) 15-second, and six (6) 6-second videos that featured real Cottages residents enjoying events and everyday life at the community.
Marketing initiatives leveraged these videos to show off the lifestyle for Facebook content, Facebook and Instagram Ads, and Snapchat Ads. The various formats allowed ease of A/B ad testing and overall success of all marketing campaigns.
College is as much about the experience as it is about the degree. Our goal was to feature this unique brand centered around building a never-ending summer camp experience. The Cottages at Lake Tamaha Lifestyle Video encapsulated the perfect escape to a never-ending summer.
