Meet Our New Director of Accounts

In April 2020, we welcomed a new Director of Accounts to our FIFTY3 team. Among many other responsibilities, Kristy Bright joined our team to manage our accounts team, grow our existing accounts, and develop brand new products.

To help you get to know her better, we sat down for a quick interview covering her experience, work ethic, and interests.

1. Tell us a bit about your professional background before joining FIFTY3.

I started my career by getting my real estate license with a game plan of going into business with my father, but that was 2008 as the economy was hitting a recession. Ultimately, I pivoted into roles within large advertising agencies where I was managing marketing for Fortune 500 brands. Prior to joining FIFTY3, I worked at a real estate marketing agency in Austin, Texas for 4 years managing their account and reputation management teams. My role was to ensure clients were receiving exceptional customer service and that they were surpassing their leasing and NOI goals (in student, conventional, and senior living verticals) through our strategic recommendations.

2. What’s one of your biggest wins in multi-family housing?

One of the biggest wins I’ve had in the multi-family space was overseeing a class A asset overcome not only their brand identity but also their occupancy goals. The property catered to a wide demographic whose interests and needs were unique. My team was able refresh their logo and outline messaging to speak to the different audiences. Through strategic operational consulting and running a variety of digital initiatives, we were able to garner more visibility for the asset and improve their occupancy by more than 40%.

3. What’s your biggest motivator at work?

My biggest motivator at work is seeing not only my teams grow in their knowledge and skill sets, but also exceeding client expectations through our comprehensive strategies.

4. What are your top five strengths from StrengthsFinder and is there one you relate to the most?

My top five strengths are Achiever, Relator, Learner, Self-Assurance, and Arranger. I definitely relate the most to the Achiever strength. I consider myself highly organized and able to balance a variety of tasks at once. I also love a good challenge. I thrive on pushing myself to produce great results for my team and my company.

5. What’s your go-to wind down activity outside of work?

I love the outdoors and being active! You can usually find me hiking, biking, or paddle boarding in my down time.
