The Challenge

The Aster is a beautiful community in a hotbed of activity in North Carolina. Located near the Research Triangle, they were building in a highly competitive area for apartment communities. Our challenge was to help them differentiate themselves through how the apartments were perceived and what future residents saw of them before they ever stepped foot on the property.

The Preparation

We started from scratch. Our goal was to name and build an identity for the community that would serve as our foundation for their externally facing platform. This meant we had to know everything we could about the property and the market. We met with our client team multiple times to understand their vision for the community. These meetings along with hours of research led us to The Aster. Our design team worked to bring the meaning of the name to life through a modern logo and identity. Once the dust settled on those projects, our entire team worked with the client to identify everything they’d need to provide a great user experience across multiple touchpoints.

The Solution

FIFTY3 not only gave this community a name and identity. We gave them a website, business cards, stationery, floor plans, and a community map. The solution was to hand them every tool they’d need to stand out in a crowded market. Especially when consumers were in the process of searching for their next place to live without being able to drive to multiple properties. When the project was closed, how future residents perceived The Aster was defined and optimized.

They didn’t just need to compete.
They needed to connect.
